* Hand crafted and styled original embroidery, embellishment, and knit designs for apparel in a variety of techniques, including knit, crochet, macrame, fabric manipulation, dying, embellishment, and embroidery.

* Made costumes and assisted with fittings for clients including the Baltimore Ravens. * Helped owner with selecting fabrics and altering patterns and garments to fit customers' specifications.

Studio Monitor * Responsible for maintenance and small repairs of all knitting machines. * Provided assistance and troubleshooting to students in knitting studio and in CAD lab, supervising use of Point Carré, Nedgraphics, and Photoshop.

* Worked with designer translating original artwork into intarsia sweater layouts. * Helped designer with inventory, shipping, and various errands and organizational tasks. * Provide instruction, troubleshooting, and support to knitters of all levels. * Encourage development of new skills through inspirational materials and tutorials. * Assist with alterations of existing patterns or creating of simple patterns for knitters to follow.

* Researched seasonal trends and worked with design team to create mood boards and color palettes. * Sketched and created CADs for sales department using Photoshop and Illustrator. * Designed original embroideries and embellishments. * Created tech packs in PLM to send to factories. Communicated directly with factories throughout development to follow up on sampling progress and submitted comments after evaluation of samples received. * Attended fittings with technical design team. * Responsible for managing assistant designers and CAD design team.

* Created original emboidery designs for Spring 2013 collection.

* Increased efficiency of knits collection development by revamping spec & swatching procedure. Worked with designer to create best selling knits collection to date at the time of my departure. * Designed hats, hair accessories, and belts with design team. * Swatched fabrics, trims, and hardware, met with fabric and hardware vendors, researched and ordered all yarns. * Hired and managed interns and sample knitters. * Created all specs and tech packs for knit styles and created pricing spreadsheets. * Assisted with styling during photoshoot and edited photos for lookbook.

Appareline * Created original trims, appliques, embroideries, and embellishments for sample garments.

* Worked on several freelance projects utilizing techniques including crochet, knitting, beading, and smocking.

* Assisted designer by trimming hats, photographing hats for lookbook and creating a lookbook using Adobe InDesign. Worked on hats for Fall 2009 shows for Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jill Stuart, and Tommy Hillfiger.

* Designed jackets, cut and sew knits, and sweaters with specialization in embroidery and embellishment layouts and development of special knit stitches. * Sketched original flats, created stitch notes for all sketches selected by head designer. * Participated in all fittings. * Communicated with factories regarding design comments sourcing of beads, trim, and fabrics and lab dips. * Swatched fabrics and trim, met with fabric, print, and embellishment vendors. * Created mockups of more complicated designs to assist factories in producing samples.
