I truly love what I do....When I am into a project I can shut out the entire world and make all my ideas come to life.
I have been working with my current company for almost 4 years. This position has allowed me too touch all basis of design. On any given day I could be designing textiles for a new baby cotton program, creating concept and packaging for our home fashion division, creating sales material for a big box store like Costco, submitting technical packages and revisions overseas to ensure quality product, and more. This providing me with hands on understanding of all aspects of designing and manufacturing for a retail level.
One of my biggest accomplishments this last year threw my current employer was having the opportunity to create a new baby brand for Cirque du Soleil. "Lu mini's" baby layette and toys featuring my original logo, textile and character design is now available across North America.
What I feel gives me an edge in my designing over some, is my earlier marketing experience.
Working many years in sales prior to pursuing my diploma in graphic design engraved a strong sense of the mass market phycology.
I am very much a go getter, I love seeing the end results of hard work.
I look forward to future opportunities and expanding my network.
Here’s to the crazy ones — the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things. They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.
Steve jobs..
