Michael Kolk

Kolk Creative is a design oriented company. Graphics and furniture are areas of focus, and visually communicating an idea is what makes the Kolk Creative clock tick.

Job involved exceeding clients’ expectations by making concepts come to life. Worked with writers to develop concepts for both print and digital media. Page layout for brochures, outdoor advertising, newspaper advertising, collateral, professional PowerPoint presentations, and large format displays. Additional responsibilities included: pre-press file and image preparation, proofing projects on press, working with photographers on shoots, choosing paper stock, and major digital image manipulation.

Managed design team on a daily basis, allocated projects, controlled work flow, conducted annual reviews, adjusted compensation, hired employees, approved and/or developed estimates, and participated in both the Space and Technology Team and the Strengths, Weaknesses, and Opportunities Team. This was done while simultaneously maintaining position as designer.

Work included graphic design for both print and digital media.

Provided in-house graphic design services on a volunteer and freelance basis. Produced in-house flyers and marketing materials, including brochures and flyers.
