Weekend Production Supervisor
Blue Mounds, WI
Mar 2016 - Present (8 years 8 months)
Midwest Prototyping is a leading independent service bureau, building 3D printed parts to order for prototyping and small scale production. Starting as a technician in our largest department, stereolithography, I was promoted to Lead Operator of SLA and then to Weekend Production Supervisor. In this role I oversee multiple machines and technologies, prepare customer files, program builds, verify parts for finishing and dimensional accuracy, and prioritize workflow to meet customer deadlines. I have also become familiar with our other services including urethane molding, laser engraving, and advanced finishing. This job has given me experience with not only the practical realities of manufacturing, but also the product development process and best design practices.
