Director of UX
Dec 2015 - Aug 2016 (8 months)
In this role, I managed a team of 2 UX designer and 2 integrators. I built a strong relationship with tech team by being super transparent to the team and proactively involving them to any e-comm projects. I led weekly meetings with analytics team, tech team, merch team, and bi-weekly one-on-one with my team. Since the company was not very strong with e-comm web development, the site was not performing well. The conversion on desktop was only 2.7% and mobile was 0.7% when I started. To improve these metrics, I presented to the company a site audit along with a solution-driven proposal to resolve some of the main problems. With executive buy-in’s, I was able to implement new design and development processes across the organization. Since then, we have seen major improvements in communication as well as the team’s pace and quality when delivering a product. From there, I was able to lead a successful responsive site redesign. We saw a lift in conversion within 6 months - 3.4% on desktop and 1.5 on mobile
- Planned and managed AB test roadmap
- I helped to implement Jira, Lucky Orange, UserTesting and Foresee
- Led Guess Responsive Site Redesign. The site launched on 6/1/2016. We’ve seen positive metrics on both web and mobile since then.
- Led checkout redesign project.
- Working on mobile initiatives including optimize mobile web shopping experience and redesigning mobile app.
