Administrative Assistant STNC
Santa Rosa, CA
Feb 2015 - Present (9 years 3 months)
I work on special projects as well as day to day run-of-the-mill office tasks. I am in charge of answering the phone, responding to emails, and providing information for people interested in our programs. I also work with all the employees on both the Santa Rosa and Petaluma campuses to collect timesheets and input all the data before passing them along to payroll. This is done to make sure we stay within our budget and that people are not working more hours than they are contracted for. Some special projects include adjusting the schedules for the upcoming semesters and figuring out which instructors have a higher seniority, and therefor first pick of the classes and times they would like to teach.

Student Worker/STNC (Temporary Office Assistant)
Santa Rosa Junior College Financial Aid Office
Santa Rosa, CA
(707) 527-4471 This job required filing and general paperwork, as well as working on the computer. I informed students of their financial aid status. It required good customer service and problem solving skills. I started working as a student worker at the SRJC. I was promoted to a temporary position known a STNC. I was trusted to go on a separate campus to run the financial aid office there on my own. Through this job I learned much about computers and filing, and even how to stay professional no matter what the situation is like. It was a challenging but rewarding experience.
