Hi I'm Kate, I'm a Dublin based model maker and designer. I am passionate about what I do and will put my all into any project self-directed or other wise. I love taking on challenges and exploring new methods and materials for creating with.
I have just completed a BA (Honours) in Model Making, Design and Digital Effects with a first class Honours Degree from IADT. Throughout this course I have learned many skills and how to use a vast array of materials such as polyurethane resins and silicones.
I have an extensive skill set including but not limited to sculpting, mold-making, casting and poly-sculpting but I am always eager to expand on it. -

Prop and SetTelegaelMar 2013 - May 2013 (2 months)At Telegael's Beochan animation studio I worked in the set and prop department during the production of Igam Ogam series 2. During my time there I constructed props, fibre-glassed large set elements, painted props and sets, molded and cast various pieces and set-dressed environments for shooting.

PolysculpterThe Newgrange Lightbox ProjectNov 2009 - Dec 2009 (1 month)I assisted in poly-sculpting large stone facades to replicate the lightbox and entrance passage of Newgrange. These facades where used in a 1:1 scale model of Newgrange in the hope that light would fill the passage during Winter Solstice.
