One person residential interior design company. Solely responsible for concept and design through finished project, utilizing hand sketches, floor plans and hand and computer color renderings). Project work included bathroom renovations, all other room renovations & transformations. Built–in furnishing, architectural accents & enhancements as well as custom designed wall art, mirrors & décor, physical space manipulation through construction carried through to the final touches via interior decorating. Responsible for selecting fabric, floor and wall tile, flooring, bath fixtures, lighting, artwork, millwork & hard goods to be utilized in client jobs. Worked closely with contractors & a host of vendors supervising and directing them on job sites. Also managed all bookkeeping & billing aspects for the business.

Developed projects from conceptualization through to finished product. Designed and produced 2-color and 4-color corporate and retail brochures, direct mail pieces, posters, logos, magazine ads, corporate product start-up campaigns and packaging design using the Mac platform computers. Client list included: AT&T, BASF, CIGNA, MASTERCARD, among others. Designed computer art and prepped for output/print, while overseeing staff and directing freelancers. Responsibilities included, reviewing matchprints, iris outputs, color keys, film and press-proofing and critical color decision-making. Dealt one-on-one with service bureaus, printers, photographers, color separators and copywriters as well as having direct client contact on a daily basis. Responsible for acquiring print/film separation estimates. Also in charge of trafficking work and ordering studio supplies. Managed and designed a large portion of the company’s Mastercard account, a pioneer project at the onset of online banking. The company campaign launched the program with the materials that I designed & developed for its promotion. Also maintained our studio computers, updated software and fixed hardware problems as the need arose.

Began employment here as a traditional paste-up/layout artist. Macintosh computers were later implemented and I was trained to design on them. Created layouts under account executive direction as well as having one-on one consultations with clients, creating concepts and following through to the finished product. Oversaw organization and trafficking of work so that all deadlines were met. Responsible for all assignments requiring original illustration and an extra creative touch. Became thoroughly acquainted with all aspects of the printing industry from pre-press through to final product.
