May 2008 - Jul 2009 (1 year 2 months)
I worked for over a year at a client site in Chicago on a major consumer facing marketing website launch, that included complex user login workflows, interactive simulators and complex print at home coupon systems. During my time there I was required to perform multiple roles as the client needed them. I was trained to write business requirements, functional specs and also project manage a team comprised entirely of my client.

Information Architect
Proxicom
Apr 2007 - Mar 2008 (11 months)
Proxicom (purchased by iCrossing in late 2007) had me working on more public focused web experiences, such as Toyota.com's 2007 redesign of which we won a JD Power award for user experience in a car comparison tool that I designed. I also had the opportunity to pitch and win the Vail Resorts Snow.com redesign.

Senior Interaction Designer
Modem Media
Oct 2006 - Mar 2007 (5 months)
Modem provided me the opportunity to really understand what user experience was, and helped me comprehend the process. While at Modem I worked with a team to imagine the future of Humana Healthcare's website with web 2.0 in mind, launch Subway's Fresh Fit campaign and redesign the interface for Royal Caribbean's travel agent booking system.

Associate Engineer
Gartner Inc.
Jun 2003 - Oct 2006 (3 years 4 months)
At Gartner I was afforded much flexibility; I was hired as a front-end developer, but through the 3 years that I worked there I did Flash animation and application development, XHTML, CSS, and visual design. I helped to redesign the client facing conference software, which lead to my interest in user experience.
