2013 - Present (11 years)
As both an independent designer, and a designer with Lakeshore Utility, I have used my talents to create unique graphic solutions for a variety of industries; theater, music, transportation, etc.
I take particular pride in a project I helmed for John Elliott, owner of Load One Transportation. We collaborated on a concept, I took the lead through the design process, and then I guided the production and installation of a pair of award winning trailer wraps, that the company uses to transport goods for the many charitable causes they support.
Jason Tarris of Ground Control landscaping asked me to design a logo that indicates the wide range of services he provides. He was so satisfied, his logo has been applied not only to basic stationary, but embroidered on jackets, adapted to a trailer wrap, and he plans to wrap his truck as well.

Manager of Design and Production
Lakeshore Utility Graphics
Jun 2006 - Present (18 years 5 months)
Lakeshore Utility Graphics has been a providing vinyl graphics for the transportation industry since 2000
In ten years at Lakeshore, my design skills have added extra value to what had previously been a “print it and stick it” graphics department, concerned with the production and installation of basic vinyl decals in the trucking industry. In the course of producing quality graphics, I’ve developed many identities for new players in the transportation and service industries. Not only have the logos I’ve designed found their way onto trucks and trailers, but also onto brochures, posters, promotional stickers, even apparel.
In addition, my production and installation staff members have supported an average annual growth of 9% since the downturn of 2008, and current numbers show our revenue to be almost double what it was when I started this position in 2006.
My design of a military themed trailer for Load One received the top spot in Reader’s Choice for Commercial Carrier Journal’s 5 Flashiest Fleets competition in 2014, and a profile in the June 2014 issue of Fleet Owner magazine for its Vehicle Graphics Awards. High praise indeed!
Identity design, file preparation, color management, vinyl preparation, and installation are all part of my process.
