Creative Lead
Mic Drop Media
London, United Kingdom
Feb 2019 - Present (5 years 10 months)
I was originally hired to be the graphic designer for a new sportsbook and casino brand, Premier punt. I joined at a stage where only the name and concept had been established and it was my responsibility to quickly establish a brand identity that separated us from a very generic and saturated market and create visuals that would both entice and inform the user.
I designed the online experience, created original content for social media and direct email marketing as well as all the usual branding associated with businesses. It became apparent that I was going beyond the typical remit and expectations of a graphic designer and after a couple of months, was promoted to the position of Creative Lead. Due to the success of Premier Punt, I was asked to establish a new sister company called Bet Sid in May 2019 and once we moved to a new licence in January 2020, created the brand identity for Casino 360.

Freelance Design
Josh Sharpe Design
United Kingdom
Mar 2016 - Present (8 years 9 months)
Whilst in my final year of study at Nottingham Trent University I began undertaking freelance design work. I would be given architectural drawings and sketches, then convert them into high quality visual renders and animations to be used in presentations to clients. This not only showed my ability to translate rough ideas into polished concepts, but also my ability to manage time effectively to deliver projects to deadlines I set myself as well as those set by the university. I continue to take on the occasional smaller project work.
I have worked with companies such as Camel Glass, Block Design and Cornwall Cricket on a diverse range of projects from architectural renders and animations, to marketing material such as posters, leaflets and flyers.

I currently work for Cornish Mutual as their sole designer. I am responsible for every aspect of design; whether that's external or internal. During my time here, I have produced an array of material to positively and effectively promote the company both physically and digitally. Over the past year, I have evolved the brand image to make it more engaging and relevant to our target audience.

Proskins and Charlie French Cricket are run by the same management and share the same complex. I worked on advertisements, brand outreach as well as product development for Charlie French Cricket. The batting pads and gloves being sold on the website are my original designs and designing something I have since seen being used by others was enormously rewarding.

Junior Designer
Mansfield Woodhouse, United Kingdom
Sep 2014 - Sep 2015 (1 year)
As stipulated in my sandwich style degree, my third year of study was working in industry. I chose to take a sandwich course as I believed gaining a year’s experience in industry would make myself more employable upon graduation. I worked under the title of ‘Intern Designer’ and produced a variety of work including CAD mock ups, advertisements and product development. As the company wasn't enormously large, I was trusted to do the majority of my work without much guidance and produced a vast amount of work to help with the business in the near and further future.
