Footwear Design Intern

I was responsible for creating visual assets for footwear challenges including footwear sketches, models, and material inspiration. I also created the social media content for ROOY’s Instagram as well as leading in art direction for the platform re-design. I was responsible for ensuring visual language cohesion through ROOY's many footwear styles and existing brand language as well as providing feedback on material use and quality of production samples from our overseas factories.

I was responsible for patterning apparel and designing infographics and layout for new product patterns. By working closely with the fashion designers and instructors I was able to make the graphics and instructions easy to follow for the user. I was also responsible for product package design and insuring cohesion with the in-store user experience, this also includes website redesign and cohesion with in-store company branding. I was also responsible for Product market research for new products.

I was responsible for the tap handle design for Nighthawk brewery. I worked closely with the in-house designer and was able to generate 2D and 3D concepts that aligned with their existing branding. I created the initial handles that were sent to bars and tap houses that had their beer on tap and a Solidworks model was sent to manufacturers and was produced on a large scale while I created the initial handles.

Provided concept development, 3D modeling, and prototypes. Met with experts in the field to gain feedback on concepts and worked very closely with engineers, software developers, sales and marketing repre- sentatives to generate a final proposal and solution.
