After completing my placement period at Bay Plastics I have been asked to return on a part time basis during my studies to progress further with the work I was involved with during my initial stay. I will be developing the product range and brand identity, working closely with the managing director and also a marketing specialist. We are currently on target for launching the brand and product range in the early months of 2014.

A part time ad-hoc position as a research assistant; job roles include data entry, transcribing interviews, coding open ended questionnaires, carrying out back checks on respondents for quality purposes and helping put research packs together. The position has allowed me to gain valueable insight into the market research industry and has given me access to professionals in the research sector.

A three month position at Bay Plastics Ltd; plastic stockists, fabricators and forming specialists. During my stay I was responsible for designing, engineering and branding the first line of own brand Bay Plastics products. I was also highly involved in collecting market research as well as developing marketing and promotional stratergies.

During my time at ZELO I was involved in the early stages of the design process for a gardening product for a leading UK supplier. My role was to find potential opportunities through research into similar products, user experiences, stockists experiences etc. As a result concepts were created and the project is currently progressing through the design stages.

A two week unpaid work placement to pursue my interest in architecture. During this time I worked on a project designing an extension for footballer Shay Given. The experience allowed me to improve my sketch work and ideation and also introduced me to CAD; both 2-D and 3-D. The placement set the foundations for my design education and introduced me to the design process in a professional environment.
