Whether it be digital art, physical media, or video, I am at my most comfortable and happy when creating. For over a decade, I have drawn and co-written the comic series, "Full Sanction". I have also co-created the zine series "Dirt Worst". On to of that, I have created a number of short films, most of which focus on special events or road trips. Each type of outlet offers its own challenges and rewards and I find it extremely fulfilling to try my hand at them all.
After attaining my Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media and Web Technology from UMUC, I hope to find a job which would allow me to indulge my creative side with a variety of tasks. I also really enjoy problem solving (possibly another form of creativity) so a position which requires both types of work would be ideal. My current job has allowed me to vary my work, ranging from staid spreadsheets to much more exciting graphic design. I hope to move away from those boring responsibilities and carve out a niche focusing on more rewarding work.
I am well-versed in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, thanks to years of self-publishing. I have also used Adobe Premiere to edit movies, something I hope to do more of in the future. I also hope to venture into the world of podcasting and audio recording. I see many possibilities for creating aural portraits that are more than simply words being spoken into a microphone.
Ideally, I would love to be my own business, allowing my creative output to support me financially. this sort of dream is many years away but, thanks to the democratizing manner of the Internet, anyone can reach almost anyone else. This open world market offers much potential for someone who can reliably create content for others to ingest. Now that I have finished my schooling, perhaps that someone can be me!
