My name is John McCoy. I'm an Illustrator and Fine Artist based in Cincinnati, OH. I studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in the field of Illustration in 2014. I've worked for local arts businesses like ArtWorks Cincinnati and Medicine Bluff Studio and I currently work on commission for business and private clients.
"My work is predominantly digitally and traditionally painted illustrations, created for various venues and projects, including public installation, magazines, and books. I focus on realistic, narrative, and figurative compositions that complement my philosophical beliefs and viewpoints about human life. Through the universal language of the human form, the narrative power of composition, and the symbolic potential of pictorial elements and their spatial relationship, I seek to create living moments full of purpose and meaning."
