• Designed a sprung telescoping blind system used Solidworks/Cosmosworks FEA to simulate performance. Guided client’s design ideas and animated / directed and promotional video animations for product sales.
• Modeled, sourced and built an adjustable-bracket-mounting system (finger-jointing application) using turnbuckles and lead screws linkages for fine tune positioning.
• Instructed Pro/Engineer WF4, SolidWorks2009, ACAD 2009.
• Redesigned and optimized a food-grade, stainless-steel, automated icing chamber (1million+ installation slurry ice filling machine). Sourced hard to find mix turbines (locally) saving machine shop from in-house production. Optimized machine alignment/repeatability by replacing bent ball joints with simpler custom designed fork linkages/bushings. Prevented client’s customer from pursuing legal action as a result of the upgrade – successful on first filling test.
• Calculated motor hp /torque requirements after sketching and designing a slurry ice-bath chamber lift.

• Concept lead for a uni-axial soil sampling module (designated to weigh less than 1Kg) for a Canadian Space Agency mars rover project proposal – designed: Opening/closing mechanism, sampling process, transmission and sized motor and gears.
• Animated and presented the above design using a projector and cad models to the CSA.
• Design lead tasked with proposing and implementing an upgrade for an autonomous, tracked, multi-configurative bomb disposal robot enabling a continuously adjustable wireless antenna.
• Sourced from stock and custom designed a storm case remote control unit with internal electronic boards to pop up and be pushed down to a seated, stowed position.
• Supervised design team to produce 34 detail drawings in 3 days.
• Initiated and maintained upgrade project schedule for a 7 week delivery including re-design, detailing and machining phases.
• Fabricated and assembled critical electronic board assemblies/components and robotic mechanisms in house saving from outsourcing expenditures.
