Humanoid Figure

15" x 9"
Clay, Wire, Aluminum Foil
January 2017
This project was created as a class assignment in Principles of Design II in which students were asked to model a humanoid figure using a wire armature and clay. This figure was inspired by a friend's childhood fear of walking stick bugs. The addition of frog and robotic elements reflects the perpetual evolution and adaptations of bugs which makes them terrifying. This project was selected for the juried exhibit Viz-a-gogo, an annual exhibit that features undergraduate and graduate work of students at Texas A&M, in Bryan, TX.
