Event Coordination and Promotion: Music Festival

CONCEPT
From 2005-07, I collaborated with other students (first as a student, then as an employee) on an all-day music festival that was a part of Bismarck State College’s month-long arts celebration, ArtsQuest. Activities involved tie-dye, free meals, a dunk tank to raise money, even comedians. We also wrote grants and sought outside sponsors; our biggest year’s budget closed in on $20,000. Student volunteers were recruited to help plan, promote, and make this event happen.
