Event Coordination and Promotion: Healthy Masculinity Summit, Fargo (Oct 2013)

As part of a grant to engage men and boys in violence prevention, we worked with our member program in Fargo to host a Healthy Masculinity Summit. Working from previous summit branding (It's Everyone's Business), this event really built from a prevention event a year ago.

The event featured a keynote speaker, panel discussion of promising programs and practices from around the state, and a World Cafe-style discussion about specific topics relating to masculinity.

The next day, we hosted a Men's Breakfast, which delved a bit deeper into our keynote speaker's life experiences with masculinity and violence against women.

Our event was designed to affect attendees' heads AND hearts, and we definitely feel we made an emotional connection with diverse parts of the community in our efforts to unite men working to end violence against women.
