Creating Safe Spaces Resource Toolkit

As part of my board service to Dakota OutRight, I contribute heavily to our outreach and training efforts and this project resulted from a specific grant we obtained to produce resource and training toolkits to deploy to youth-serving professionals across the state. The goal was to get LGBTQIA-supportive resources and information into the hands of people who needed it most, as well as to create a consistently branded project for Dakota OutRight.

I was very excited to work on this design problem because it involved packaging and creating a self-contained toolkit. I was responsible for concept and design, as well as product sourcing and ordering, production budget and schedule, and copywriting.

The fully custom toolkit includes a corrugated cardboard box, binders with custom tabs and a resource manual, two types of brochures, debossed silicone bracelets, posters, and window clings.
