After several years in the office furniture industry I mastered the art of cubicle. I understand interior space, branding and customer service. I was able to use my artistic talent to create color schemes, designs and visual presentations. I was marketing my designs, my services and my products on a daily basis. I enjoyed working on strategy and trying to understand what was important to each individual client. The relationships I formed with those clients were extremely rewarding and taught me that selling and marketing is all about honesty and providing the right solution for each person.
With two degrees and several years of work experience behind me, I was able to combine my creative skills and evolve into a new career. Marketing. The art of selling through words, pictures and strategy. The ability to understand your audience and how to communicate withe them... knowing your customer without ever meeting with them face-to-face.
Three years later I have marketed storage, sustainability, corner guards and even expansion joints. I've written tactical plans, executed complex marketing campaigns that include events and trade shows, PR, ad and email campaign development and internal training.
It sure has been a journey, but as an artist and a writer... I am having fun!
