My grandmothers began teaching me how to sew when I was 5. My entire life has been spent studying and practicing the art and skill of being a Freelance and Fine Textile Artist, Designer, Costumer, Quilter and Fabricator. I studied Fine Arts seriously from age 14-24, then switched focus to Apparel Design. I have expert skills in concept development, hand illustration, computer illustration, technical illustration, textile print design, bag design, creating industry ready technical packages, product photography and editing for catalogue-ready, complex patterning, draping, sewn construction, fitting, alteration, repair, quilting, knitting, weaving, dying and painting. I design "Moonchilde: Heirloom Quality Ritual Clothing, Sacred Objects and Art to Wear by Hand". Previous projects include: "OWL Artisan Apparel & Accessories from Stage to Ceremony" and "Uniform: Clothing That Works". Inspiration is derived from textile art and design history, green design, music, critical theory, anthropology, myth, fairy tales, mysticism, geometry & physics. I always take a sustainable approach to design.
I work out of my well equipped textile studio in Portland, Oregon or on location.
