Selected for internship due to my innovative use of newly patented materials. Worked with the Polymer Innovations group to further new product use though Eastman’s Stage-Gate process for new products.

- Designed new use from product specifications provided by Eastman Chemical Co.
- Developed the project through Stage-Gate 1
- Worked with others to build full scale prototype
- Presented product sales pitch for a major retailer to managers
- Interfaced with engineering, marketing and management groups
- Taught new design techniques to senior craftsmen
- Wrote the pamphlet “How to Care for your ID Intern“ to better establish Eastman’s Industrial Design Internship
- Became familiar with large corporate structures
