Walker
Hospitals can be lonely for recovering patients and athletes where victories are deeply personal and may seem trivial to an onlooker. The ability to walk to the end of the hall and back can be an Olympic moment for patients. That's why I created a walker that measures progress in millimeters per month rather than meters per moments. Where smart-watches fall short in measuring distance as small as a step this walker can track a much slower (by healthy standards) pace and logs distances that can be as short as 10 meters.
This walker can measure your distance, progress over time and even tell you if you’re approaching your personal best (PR). I was inspired to create this walker by watching the olympic swimming competition. While the swimmers are moving through the water there is a line graphically placed to show the viewer if they are on a world record pace. I thought wouldn’t it be nice to track our progress and performance like that in everyday life?
