I joined Oxford Analytica as the firm’s first in-house designer. I created a culture where design is now considered a core feature of the firm’s analysis.
I have created and managed over 500 issues of the Graphic Analysis series for the firm’s flagship Oxford Analytica Daily Brief. This series combines textual content with information-rich visuals:

Managing visuals for the Daily Brief. I lead a team producing maps and charts in a “newsroom-like” environment, where timeliness and accuracy are paramount. I am responsible for the overall look and feel of graphics output (oxan.to/mapsandcharts) and have created templates and best practice guidelines.
Producing graphics for the firm’s consultancy and events arms. Engagements are varied, ranging from producing reports and presentations, to infographics, maps and data visualisation that form the most visible component of the deliverable.
Working on the firm’s marketing materials at every stage from conception to printed item. Highlights include the firm’s introductory material, a Thirtieth Anniversary book, presentations on our visualisation processes, and advertising campaigns across posters and adverts in print and web media.
I led a study on making data visualisations more effective and streamlined, and have produced templates, stylesheets and guidance that enable consultants to produce graphics with comparable production values, and evangelise for better use of visuals and data across the firm.
