Graphic Design Freelancer
Jennifer Atkins
Jun 2013 - Present (11 years 5 months)
So far, I've mostly tackled contract jobs for print, such as posters, brochures, business cards and other advertising and marketing materials. I'm also working on submitting my photography and vector art to stock photography sites and working remotely for one particular company. I'm planning on pushing myself further and really pursuing more projects with a wider range of clients after the New Year. I'd also like to gain more advanced knowledge on web design, app, and UI design. Basically, to become more well-versed in the web-driven realm. I'll be honest, it's not easy entering the design world as a freelancer, but I'm really enjoying learning to be adaptable and constantly learning new techniques and skills. I am not strictly set on freelancing full-time, however. I'll always have side projects, despite my career path. If a desirable opportunity presents itself, I'd be happy to follow my career path wherever it leads me. As long as I'm doing what I love and doing satisfying work that is benefiting others, I would be content and truly blessed.

Graphic Designer Volunteer
Redemption City Church
Sep 2012 - Present (12 years 2 months)
I've been active at Redemption City Church since their start in August of 2012. At the founding of the church, I was the only designer, so I was constantly churning out the design work and loving every minute. We now have three designers balancing all areas of graphic design. I love volunteering my time for my church community while also picking up some new skills along the way. I think that in ever project I tackle, I always learn something new.
