Evaluated beta versions of the app as well as participated in weekly build review meetings and made recommendations to improve the app’s overall usability. Developed the UI/UX for various aspects and sections of Makr, including the Purchase experience, Homepage, Logo functionality, and other sections/initiatives. Drafted wireframes, functional prototypes, specification documents, exported assets, and articulated the functionality requirements to the engineering team.

Founded and launched The Grid, a responsive website which educates small business owners about the benefits of responsive web design. Conducted surveys and researched target audience. Established audience personas. Analyzed competition and created a competitive matrix. Produced sketches and wireframes for The Grid using Illustrator and Photoshop. Developed The Grid website using HTML5/CSS3/Adobe Dreamweaver. Established a core brand for The Grid and created on-brand digital assets as well as print promotional pieces. Pitched and presented The Grid to colleagues and industry professionals. Currently expanding core features of The Grid website and exploring partnerships for future growth.

Collaborated on a redesign to the interiors of Farmingdale State College building, Gleeson Hall. Led signage and wayfinding portions of the project, including color-coded floors, redesigned doors, and wall signage that indicates points of interest within the floor. Created a wayfinding system that helps students, faculty, staff, and visitors navigate the building, and accommodate the various classrooms, offices, and labs. Managed the review process among two other designers. Presented proposed redesign to key stakeholders, including the funder and chief university administrators. The proposed redesign was selected and is being produced. Collaborated with the campus Physical Plant and architect to establish timeline and budget. Estimated to be completed in 2014.

Designed and produced various pieces, including promotional flyers, internal documents, posters, banners, Spotify covers, and email newsletters. Coded and implemented a series of MailChimp newsletters with HTML/CSS. Tested newsletters across different operating systems and software throughout the company, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Web Access, Apple Mail, and Gmail, on both Windows 7 and Mac OS X computers. Prepared and submitted three weekly newsletters and one bi-weekly cover. Participated on the Music Propaganda campaign, which seeks to curb music piracy across college campuses. Established a visual strategy, in collaboration with other design interns and supervisors. Designed three posters, stickers, and online banners for the campaign website.

Led the redesign of a website for Mixtures Pharmacy & Compounding Center, located in Phoenix, Arizona. Participated in an initial client meeting to discuss requirements, specifications, and features. Created a series of wireframes and digital mockups that were presented to the client. Designed and developed the website with HTML/CSS. Implemented LimeSurvey and developed a custom template, to facilitate user input, including prescription refill, hormone consultation, and immunization forms. Incorporated a Wordpress blog using a customized template that was adapted from the core website. Integrated a basic Content Management System, which allows the client to make changes to the website. Compiled and prepared training videos using TechSmith Camtasia Studio as well as how-to documents for LimeSurvey and Wordpress.
