Responsibilities: Lead daily, Sunday and projects presentation and planning. Edit design for all sections of the paper. Lead art director and planner for all news, sports and features presentation. Directed coverage of LeBron James’ return to Cleveland and run to the 2015 NBA Finals, the 2014-15 Ohio State Buckeyes national championship and the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductions. Currently preparing to cover the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
Organization and planning: Work closely with editors across all platforms in the company to plan projects and live coverage. Coordinate photography and illustrations with staff managers and freelance artists and writers.
Honors: Helped the Plain Dealer to its two best performances in the Society For News Design’s annual competition in 2014 and 2015 — the first came while also helping the Buffalo News to its best-ever performance in 2014.
