I received my BA (Hons) in Industrial & Product Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Design, in 2014. Besides, I also took a higher diploma in Product Innovation Technologies, in which I could not only develop my design thinking and visualisation skills, but more importantly, it allowed me to gain experiences in different manufacturing processes and material sciences. These experiences are very useful in my design process. They allow me to understand all the possibilities and limitations in the manufacturing and assembly processes (DFMA), and thus facilitate the communications between me and the engineers.
I believe that aesthetic sensibility is very important to a designer. The sensation is built and trained by countless hours of modelling, sculpturing and understanding the relationship between curves and surfaces. And lastly, they need to observe and appreciate the beautiful things in life. As a design professional, we apply the emotions and functions to an object through semantic.
