Jamie Robinson

As a member of the team at this consultancy I took part in the development of many new products. I worked with an industry leading branding agent on a project for one of the worlds largest sneaker manufacturers (cannot be named due to NDA.) During this project, I theorised and prototyped the final concept that was presented to the agency. Aside from this, I also participated with the completion of several projects for smaller clients.

I managed the engineering-side of two projects, and oversaw the procurement process for several others including an electronic product scheduled for release later this year.

I was trusted to take charge in prototype production for two projects across the year, which were completed to a very high standard.

At the end of the placement year I accepted the offer of staying on as a paid member of the design team until I return to my studies in September.

During my time at 9C, I undertook the design of skatepark components using Solidworks, which were then manufactured in-house on a 3 axis CNC router, assembled, and shipped to site in modules.

I also undertook various subcon projects, including GRP moulds for lighting at Heathrow Terminal 5 as well as 3D modelling of various furniture by Duffy London.
