Specialities:
• Packaging technology for fine fragrance products, materials specialist in: bottles, pumps, caps, liners, cartons, labels, films and new packaging processes.
• Identifying, planning and executing materials cost saving projects, ensuring that these projects deliver considerable cost savings without compromising quality or performance.
• Technical mastery of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging components - as well as their impact on the supply chain, the packing line and the consumer.
• Hands-on experience working with automatic, semi-automatic and manual packing lines, with an in-depth understanding of the individual processes and transformations for each line.
• Broad knowledge of Bergami, Kalix and Marcasini cartoners, as well as fillers, cappers, sealers and case packers.
• Aesthetic and performance properties for packaging materials. Using existing and eveloping new laboratory test methods to capture performance data for components, ensuring that they are fit for use (FFU).
• Finalist in the 2010 ‘North East Knowledge Transfer Showcase’ awards, presenting design work alongside Teesside University.
• Successfully qualified as a Graduate Member of The Chartered Society of Designers (Graduate MCSD), an international design group.
• A member of Design Network North (DNN), a network with several high profile design organisation contacts.
• Presented design work at the 2008 ‘New Designers’ Event in London, as well as the 2008 ‘Reveal’ Design Show in Newcastle.
