I redesigned a wedding dress for a close friend. She wanted to use parts from her mother's wedding dress for her modern day dream gown. The bride wanted a the long train of the original dress for the ceremony, and the floor length option for the reception. Using elements from the original dress and new carefully chosen fabric, the end result was an a-line, v-neck dress with a chiffon overlay on the original bodice and layers of tulle and chiffon for the skirt, along with a detachable overskirt that was the original skirt.
