Sand & Stone

My Line Development team designed a party-wear collection for the special occasion market that featured adaptive wear to cater to people with amputations. The brand’s goal was to make ‘Option Wear,’ allowing the customer to wear garments in a variety of ways that fit their needs and their body rather than trying to fit themselves to the clothes. We hoped to create a collection suitable both for people who wear prosthetics and those who do not. To serve some of the consumer’s pain points, the brand considered elements such as zippers at the hems of sleeves to allow the customer to be able to wear the garment with or without a prosthetic. Sand & Stone was a collection where the prosthetic is viewed as part of the ensemble rather than viewed as something in the way.
