It is time to escape. Time to appreciate the magic around us. Time to alter our ideas of fashion. This collection breaks away from fashion that can only be worn one way. I challenged myself to think of ways in which a garment can be convertible and size inclusive. I also experimented with using unconventional apparel textiles, along with using textiles with organic textures. Whether that incorporates reversible garments, or adjustable straps and back closures, or items that wrap around the body in various ways, this collection explores how fashion can be transformational.
The sparkling embellishments and finer details also exemplify how practical and convertible garments can still be delicate and enchanting. We should not have to choose between functionality and fun. Nor between being dazzling or being durable. Both are possible imaginative design and thoughtful construction.
