Dan founded Blockdot – a Dallas based digital company known for creating mobile business apps for American Airlines, CarMax, and Cinemark Theaters and marketing/entertainment apps for LEGO, Universal Pictures and National Geographic. In January 2013, Blockdot was acquired by SOAP Creative, a digital super-agency with offices in Sydney, Los Angeles and Dallas.
Dan is responsible for creating strategic digital experiences that connects consumers with brands. He is a leader in strategic consulting with 20+ years experience. His strong business acumen in the areas of design and interactive marketing has led to the establishment of two nationally recognized digital companies. Brandweek Magazine named him Marketer of the next Generation.
Dan is the creative behind Chicktionary, an iPhone/iPad app that has ranked as a Top 10 App on the Apple iTunes store and was named one of the Top 10 Kids Educational Apps by Time Magazine in 2012.
Dan has won numerous awards including the prestigious Brandweek Magazine Marketer of the Next Generation Award, Entrepreneur Magazine Top 100 Business, Ad-Tech awards, Adweek Buzz Award and SXSW New Media Award.
Dan is considered by many to be one of the forefathers of Advergaming. He co-created Elf Bowling, the most successful Internet distributed game in the nineties. (At its peak, Elf Bowling was downloaded 7.8 times in one month.) USA Today called it, "one of the best viral marketing success stories of the year.” Since then he has helped create over 1,000 digital experiences for a broad-range of Fortune 500 companies.
