Ryan Wagar

Ryan was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from a very early age drawing and colors came naturally to him. He took great interest in art in his 7th grade, where he had an art class for the first time.

At the age of 12 he entered his first exhibition and placed very well, and his art became a logo for a local freestyle ski team.

Over the years art has always been a hobby or temporary escape, from sketches, painting, collage and even natural works of art.

In 2009 he married his wife, which is a Japanese national and left his home for a life in Japan.

He became an early education teacher and was given the opportunity to create works of art for children’s plays and events.

Taking a course in art concepts, he began exploring and trying different forms of artwork, which gave him more techniques and material to work with.

Most works of art come to him in memories or a visual snap shot of a current situation, his inspiration to create personal art work stems from the environment and natural instances that occur at spurs of the moment.
