The Formrite Group is an industry leading former of plastic packaging and displays for the pharmaceutical and medical industry. Initial role at Formrite was to assist as a mid-level designer to an industrial design team. Later as restructuring within the business occured, my position would become senior and I assumed a leadership role. Duties included coordinating contract designers, overseeing the department and signing off on all production drawings. During this time I managed to implement the use of Solidworks to boost productivity, the level of presentation, and create a direct link between the design and tooling departments by outputting tooling files to expedite the process of pattern making. Formrite's design department focuses on their in-house capabilities of vacuum/pressure forming, plastic fabrication, screen printing and working very closely with an in-house tooling department.
