BA (Hons) Industrial DesignNorthumbria University2002 - 2006Graduated with a First Class Honours Major Project - Bike Bag: Promoting the use of Bicycles Changing perceptions of cycling by putting aspirational bicycle related products into the mainstream. Through research into the many reasons people chose not to cycle, the opportunity emerged to explore the design of accessories that suited the needs of the utility cyclist. (Rather than the outdoor enthusiast, weekend warrior!) The resulting project output, the ‘Vega Flight Pack’ is a versatile back pack constructed from plywood, leather and ventile. The brand identity and design of the back pack combine to give an aesthetic and feel much more suited to the needs of the day to day, utility cyclist whilst remaining ultimately functional for the activity of cycling. Supporting those who cycle... inspiring those who do not.
