Since an early age I have always had a creative streak, originally wanting to develop my skills as a fine artist I pursued an art foundation. While studying art I became more passionate about creating 3-Dimensional objects, this inspired me to pursue a career in product design, which enabled me to not only create visually exciting items but objects that served a real purpose.
My passion for product design has enabled me to work for variety of industries, from waste management products, office furniture, Licensed toys and more recently creating beer fonts for well known brands.
My design experience doesn't stop with aesthetics, I get great pleasure in creating commercially viable products which offer true features and benefits to the end user.
Profile
I am a self-starter, enthusiastic and hardworking designer with a varied and diverse background, having studied as a Product Designer and having work experience of both Product Design and Product Design engineering. My approach to design development is strongly user centred and process driven. I enjoy turning a problem or a concept inside out and brainstorming with others to generate innovative and appropriate solutions.
I am comfortable communicating concepts in sketch form, either as freehand sketches, physical models or initial exploratory 3D CAD models. I have experience of moving from concept to prototype and through to production ready data.
I have the ability to plan and organise a project through several stages with a persistent and flexible approach to suppliers and colleagues for the achievement of projects. I would consider myself a confident and persuasive team player who is able to motivate and communicate to achieve a high standard of work.
