Vantaa Art School is free time institute that provides the basic education in arts according to visual arts basic education's comprehensive syllabus, set by the Finnish national board of education. Basic studies include versatile methods and techniques for visual expression. After basic studies Vantaa Art School provides advanced special studies that are realized as workshops. I have had six years of basic education, then spent one year in Textile arts workshop, two years in Drawing and painting workshop and three years in Photography workshop.

Helsinki Upper Secondary School of Visual Arts offers a wide range of academic, visual arts and multimedia courses. Art subjects include painting and drawing, graphic art, film, photography, ceramics, sculpture, technical drawing, textile art and multimedia. In addition to compulsory art history and basic art studies I have studied film, photography, technical drawing and painting.
