Dylan Cook

I am currently employed as a Digital Designer at Local World Media. Originally employed to design the local newspaper sites to fit mobile platforms alongside the mobile development team, I have also been asked to design the various e-newsletters, icons, web ads, and internal sites.

Recently our company merged, and I was asked to redesign all our local newspaper sites to be in line with our chairman's vision. This involved working with the different project leaders to produce a site that everyone was happy with.

Happymonkeyshoes is the identity used for any freelance work I undertake. This currently ranges from personal websites, logo design and illustrations.

My recent ongoing projects include designing t-shirts for Zombie Vs Clothing, which pits retro television characters against various zombies, and the title cards for the Videocade Commentaries Video-cast, where I draw the hosts in situations involving video game cartoons.

I also offer commissions for donations to various charities.

In my role as Senior Web Designer, I am responsible for the design and building of various ecommerce and general websites. I specialise in designing logos and branding, however I also provide illustrations, email newsletters, affiliate and PPC banners for the clients when required.

During projects I usually work alone when designing sites, but as a team when it comes to going through and improving them before the final build.

I have recently helped to create an e-learning gaming platform which rewards students with gameplay after a series of questions has been answered. I designed both websites, and some of the games graphics, logos and interfaces.

My role as Multimedia Designer made me responsible for the design and coding of websites. I have worked with a variety of clients ranging from small to large businesses, liaising with them when necessary, to create designs which met their needs and were aesthetically pleasing. I also designed the user interfaces for the various programs our company
created, including the logos and icons and any illustrations when necessary. During projects I would either work alone or as part of a team.
