To begin with I had free reign to come up with various ideas along a 50's theme. I also experimented with different 50's typefaces.
After seeing the initial designs, the client wished to pursue the pin up girl idea, but with a tiger as well. With this in mind, I roughed out some variety of poses.
Following on from those sketches, the client chose three poses that he liked and I moved on to a much tighter sketch.
This was the preferred pose, though we both agreed to simplify the idea and remove the tiger completely.
The final logo. The client wanted a more hand-drawn feel to the logo, almost tattoo like.
Following on a year later, I was asked to change the logo for different holidays, Halloween and Christmas.
