Hello! The past four years as an industrial design student in Blacksburg have been great. I started down this path at fifteen, after a week long industrial design workshop at the Savannah College of Art and Design. We made cardboard mockups of shoes. To make absolutely sure (or at least have a pretty good hunch) that industrial design was a path for me, I took a six week course at the Rhode Island School of Design in industrial design. I was thrilled to be accepted to Virginia Tech's industrial design program and to the Honors Residential community. Since beginning in Blacksburg, I have become more involved with the user research aspects of product design as well as the whimsical, quirky side of delightful products. As a result of this split interest, after graduation in May of 2013 I want to research for medical product design or work with children's products. When I'm not looking forward to a new studio related project, I like to screen print or illustrate. I also spend a considerable amount of time in the ceramics lab, and outside long boarding or running. Thanks for reading!
