Hello.
I am Hannah. I am currently studying Sustainable Product Design at the University of Brighton where I am designing the product 'Hols.T" : Theft preventing/anti pickpocketing apparel for young people. To help solve the problem of the amount of mobile phones lost to criminals at festivals, football matches, concerts and any other crowd like situations. The garments are produced from either upcycled old clothes or recycled fabrics, which (in theory) can be purchased from the 'Hols.T' web application. The application is not only a retailing platform but also a place for people to return their old garments to which then can be remanufactured into new products to save old clothes going to landfill. Therefore acting as a subtle educational tool, to which displays information about the impacts of the garment industry on the environment and how we as a nation can help limit that effect by purchasing our fashion garments with a sustainable, ethical and environmentally stimulated mind.
I am also working as a STEM Sussex Ambassador, Mentor and Deliverer in the Design and Technology and Engineering based subjects. Through my work with STEM, and within my future career in education I aim to help inspire our future innovators and enable them to become technological, sustainable and capable citizens through a thorough yet exciting education in Design and Technology.
My portfolio displays an array of work from university based design projects and my work at Ghigos Ideas ( Monza, Italy), to my interests in art and photography and some of the work I have done through design workshops.
I hope you enjoy, feel free to drop me a line.
