I built these double barn doors with awning for my own studio – First Light Studio. I also remodeled this garage (rebuilt this corner of building) and did all the builtin benches and storage in the studio, arranging this small space for oils, printmaking, ink on paper, encaustic, a little woodworking area and a cat palace overhead.
Two sets of French doors on the studio of Erika James. I removed the broken roll up doors and framed in for these doors. Then cased the doors and filled in the shingles. Inside, I also built storage shelves with doors which appear elsewhere on this site.
I built these insulated carriage house doors in the shop and installed them into an existing opening that had been walled off. Inside is a small art studio, which was a complete remodel of a builtin garage. The remodel included moving water heater, new electrical and lighting, moving another exterior side door, replacing old window, drop down stair to attic, insulated floor, exterior wall insulation, interior sound insulation, an interior pocket door, drywall, painting and revamped laundry room. This photo was taken before painting the doors.

Doors

Some of these doors I built custom for particular settings. Others were bought commercially and installed, trimmed out and finished by me. This first set of barn doors are to my painting studio. I also made the awning. I also rebuilt much of this old garage.
