My name is Sean Doyle and I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, United States of America. The greater proportion of my professional experience in the visual arts and branding industry was gathered during my employment as an historic archaeologist between 2006 and 2013. One of the many job titles I bore while working for this firm was that of a graphics technician. In this capacity I was the sole employee responsible for generating two types of graphics suites determined on a project by project basis. The first set was that of realistic, scientific illustration and cartography and the second set was any graphics needed for branding requests or work related signage. A project tasked to me represented on Coroflot is the Colorado Council of Professional Archaeologists branding package. In this job I completed measured, hyper-realistic artifact drawings, measured plan and elevation architectural drawings, descriptive maps, and training materials. I received on the job training in AutoDesk AutoCAD LT 2008, Adobe Photoshop CS3, and light tablet utilization while with the company.
This was a contract based career, so in addition to learning how to meet project and client demands even when nebulous, I learned how to guide clients towards an aesthetic that appealed to them and their product, and how to meet stringent timelines with limited assistance and limited budgets. I learned how to work independently and utilize resources to create not only a product the client appreciates from an artistic perspective, but one which they could use from a business stand point.
Finally, the historical archaeological career developed for me an extensive knowledge of the research of historic design trends, the anthropology of imagery, and the deciphering of cultural trends.
Academically I received formal training in manual technical drafting, architectural drafting and sketching, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Art History, and the History of Design. My area of expertise is the graphic and decorative arts of the early modernist movements and I successfully completed a paper discussing the influence of cultural agency between Ludwig Wittgenstein and the Purist Movement seen through the perspective of architecture.
I look forward to utilizing my talents to provide your company or project with graphics you can appreciate and use.
