This is a suite of wedding invitations I did for my own wedding.
(Note: All image resolutions have been reduced for web optimization to rasterized 150 dpi)
Informed by the Vienna Secession, the motif embraces mythological, historicist themes and accentuates the text over the imagery. The imagery is intended as vignettes secondary to the text.
The first images displays the full suite in a presentation format, describing the properties of the files. The second image is the hand drafted measured sketch I produced realizing the concept. The remaining images are of the finalized deliverables.
The deliverables were optimized to take advantage of the versatility and lower cost of thermographic printing techniques. The production files are vectored .psd files hand rendered from a high resolution scan of the sketch and freehand illustration at 600 dpi.
