Accomplished in design strategy and consumer products with 5 years’ experience in various categories including power extension, safety equipment, retail displays, power tools, exercise equipment and toys. Endeavor’s to create not only beautiful products that capture the imagination but solve new problems.

Contributed to an IDEA 2012 Finalist winner; a simple but successful solution for Legrand Wiremold’s power behind the wall for flat screen TVs. Redesigned and prototyped a factory eye wash station, eliminated maintenance hassles, relived injured confusion, and reduced physical footprint. Brought simplicity and clarity to shoppers by researching with empathy and understanding; leading to increased product visibility and sales in user tests on a built out mock shopping aisle. Conceptualized and prototyped the Fisher Price Grow with Me Skateboard that introduces the sport safely to children, through a user-centric understanding of mothers and kids.

BFA Industrial DesignSavannah College of Art and Design2005 - 2010Dean's List student who participated in many group and sponsored projects, including a Kids II and a JCB sponsered class as well as a Continuum led design charrette. Recognized for Outstanding Performance & Dedication by the Kids II team for conceptualizing a dual action infant swing. Participated and gathered indepth user and market research compiled into a research document and presented to the team and client. Synthesized client feedback and market demands into a series of ideation and concept sketches and pushed forward three concepts to CAD development. Finalized one CAD model with engineering suggestions for manufacture-ability, packing and shipping. Participated in the JCB sponsored project. Tasked with redesigning JCB's product language for the North American market. Researched heavy equipment user in USA, Canada and Argentina through ride alongs and site visits. Applied contextual research, surveys, interviews, and cultural probes to understand user wants, needs and culture. Findings drove development of sketches and models. Final solutions were presented to JCB leading to a second sponsored class to further investigate design implications. As a member of the second team designed and built a full scale mock-up. Presented the final team concept to the JCB marketing team. Final design influenced the 2011 backhoe redesign. Led by Continuum, participated as a group member in understanding and finding design opportunities for the other 90%. Discovered cultural actions in eastern countries that separated members of society. Developed a presentation to share findings and introduce market opportunities that could turn people's perceptions of themselves and others around.
