An exploratory project focused on finding a niche within the growing Bluetooth speaker market SPKR aimed to create a communal listening experience for an active outdoor lifestyle. Many ideas and concepts were generated varying scale and application, tapping into different lifestyle markets. A niche was discovered for creating a rugged element proof speaker for outdoor parties and events with a rugged styling harking to brands such as Red Bull, Nike, Adidas, Puma, Nixon, and Range Rover. The product is functionally ready for rugged outdoor adventures, getting wet, falling in sand, and bumping rocks but styled elegantly enough to be shown off in any urban apartment.
