From 2016 to 2019, Felix joined the Taruma Bhakti Usaha Company. Having work experience as a junior architect meant the new possibility of exploring the world of education beyond its boundary. He collaborated with scholars, academics, tutors, and even starchitects, that opened up the opportunity to explore conceptual thinking, design exploration, and architectural presentation. They received significant awards over the years through competition, including Tarumanagara City Main Campus (2017), Sinarmas Land Young Architect – business loft design (2017), shortlisted Indonesian pavilion for Venice Biennale 2018, and 2020. With the trust of the company, he continued the design for the Tarumanagara City masterplan. In this project, he was designing an integrated learning environment based on an integration between educational and commercial environment.
In 2019, Felix was awarded a partial scholarship by the Manchester University to continue his study in the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA), specifically in Architecture and Urbanism field. Collaborating with international students and mentors has opened up his mind to see, analyze, and solve the global issue in economic, political, social, and nature in the urban context critically. His research about the “Transfer of the Capital City of Indonesia” led him to understand that humanity is the primary variable of the issues and successfully attracted people to learn more about it.
In 2021, Felix continued his career as an urban designer at AECOM. He got a chance to participate in the massive master planning projects, for instance, Special Economic Zone Likupang Pulisan Bay, Lippo Village, Special Economic Zone Singhasari, Negeri Seribu Pulau and ADB Palu. Collaboration with professionals from other business lines within the company, for instance, economy, environment, ecology, infrastructure, and transportation, teaches him how to solve complex issues within projects through multidisciplinary studies. Working in an international company with collaboration with teams from overseas enhances his knowledge of solutions and technology in architecture and urban planning.
